About Us

Mike MillerSince his beginning in the advisory business in 1991, Mike has been known for the level of personalized service and uncommon care that he provides for his clients. Many of these clients have become friends and have established relationships that have lasted through the years. His attention to detail and customer service was developed early on as an enterprising young man. Mike realizes that life and investing are about creating valued relationships.

As the youngest of four children in a close family, Mike grew up in Amarillo and worked in order to help pay his way through school. He was active in his community and student organizations. He earned degrees from Amarillo College, Texas Tech and West Texas State University.

In 1987, after working six years in the corporate world, Mike taught in the College of Business at West Texas A&M. When he learned that the representative who was helping him with his university retirement account had transferred, Mike soon found his niche helping fellow faculty members plan for their retirement. The time had come to blend textbook theory with real world practice. Upon completing the necessary licenses and registrations, Mike was helping his colleagues manage their retirement portfolios.

Through the years his practice has grown to include university faculty from across the state. He has managed his client's portfolios with a philosophy and level of service that has allowed his business to prosper in a way he never imagined.

Mike has always had a keen interest in business and topical subjects relating to financial planning. He completed the Financial Planning Certificate Program at the University of North Texas and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and continues to devote many hours to reading and study in the discipline.

Mike is married to Helen, a registered nurse who has dedicated her life to hospice nursing. His hobbies include barbequing, travel and golf. He enjoys wine tastings which are often a part of client events.
